Cascade offers a whirlwind of energetic and lyrical acoustic music. The focus of their music is on new and traditional Irish tunes and songs, and they also perform tunes from Scotland, Shetland and Bretagne. Cascade always immerses into the music with an open-minded attitude and unique arrangements, accompanied with the extraordinary sound-scope of traditional instruments.

Cascade Oulusta on nimensä mukaan valmis tarjoamaan ryöpyn vauhdikasta ja tunnelmallista akustista musiikkia. Pääosaa musiikissa esittävät niin uudet kuin vanhatkin Irlantilaiset instrumentaali- ja laulukappaleet, mutta mielenkiintoisia sivuosia etsitään myös esimerkiksi Skotlantilaisten, Shetlantilaisten ja Bretonien kansanperinteesta. Cascade sukeltaa musiikkiin aina ennakkoluulottomalla asenteella ja persoonallisilla sovituksilla, unohtamatta perinteisten soittimien ainutlaatuisia äänimaailmoja.

The Soap Pig/ Na Muca Gallúnach



Born out of the mighty traditional Irish music sessions of Oulu in 2003, The Soap Pig are a dynamic, exciting, and talented traditional Irish music band with vast musical skills. The lads form a unique array of melodic rhythms and arrangements of traditional tunes from the many musically rich areas of Ireland fused with original tunes they have written. The synergy of pipes and fiddle, the driving force of the mandolin and bouzouki, and the rhythm of the bodhrán make for an energetic evening of music and fun. The group also performs old Irish songs of immigration, love, oppression, and the fight for independence passed down through the generations sung in English and Irish.

The Soap Pig are Markus Lampela (uilleann pipes, tin whistle, vocals), Brent Ó Caiside (bodhran, vocals), Anthony Johnson (fiddle), Jorma Mäkitalo (mandolin, mandola, vocals), and Jani Suvanto (bouzouki, guitar).

Yläsiirtola Ramblers



Olemme oululainen 5 - 8 -henkinen yhtye ja soitamme pääasiassa irlantilaista kansanmusiikkia. Toki muidenkin maiden musiikki taittuu: suomalaisesta bretagnelaiseen ja päinvastoin - meret eivät soittoamme rajoita. Ramblers aloitti soitannon suppeammalla kokoonpanolla jo vuonna 1993.

Oli kyseessä sitten ravintolan teemailta, joulu- tai kevätjuhla, kesäiset tapahtumat tai vaikkapa häät, Ramblers tarjoaa tilaisuuteen rentoa irlantilaistyyppistä meininkiä.

Yläsiirtola Ramblers is a local Oulu band of 5-8 persons playing mainly traditional Irish music. The band also performs: Finnish, Bretagne, and more. There are no boundaries what we can perform.

The Ramblers began to perform in 1993. Contact us if you would like a pub gig, Christmas, spring and summer happenings as well as weddings. The Ramblers can definitely provide a relaxed Irish evening full of fun and great music.
